Do I need to bring money?
Feel free to bring cash or a card if you’d like to purchase coffee, souvenirs, additional food, or alcoholic beverages. Lunch and a soda are included, but any extra food or drinks outside of what’s provided will be at your own expense.
What if it rains?
Our excursions operate rain or shine. Since we travel across different parts of the island, it may be raining in one area while the weather is clear in another. If severe weather makes the activities unsafe or prevents the excursion from taking place, it may be canceled or rescheduled. In that case, you’ll be offered the option to reschedule or receive a refund.

What to wear?
We recommend wearing comfortable athletic clothing for the excursion. For the cave portion, please wear closed-toe shoes with a thick, sturdy sole for safety. If you plan to enjoy the beach stop, bring your swimsuit and flip-flops so you can easily change and relax by the water.
Do I need to be able to swim?
No, you do not need to know how to swim to enjoy this excursion. Most of the experience takes place on land, and swimming is not required to visit the cave. At the end of the excursion, there is a beach stop where you’re welcome to swim if you’d like, but it’s completely optional.
Luquillo Rainforest & El Yunque Waterslide and Waterfall
What should I know?
This activity involves short walking/hiking portions through natural paths to access the natural water slides and swimming hole. Conditions of trails can vary based on weather. Any and all activity participation is at own risk.
What should I wear?
- SOCKS, SOCKS, SOCKS….If you want to go down the water slide. Trust me.. bring the socks 🙂
- Clothing appropriate for swimming !
What should I bring?
- SOCKS-(maybe an extra pair)again this helps you grip onto the rocks.
- change of clothes and shoes (optional) for the beach and local restuarant area. You might wanna wear comfy shoes there!
- Towel
Life Jackets will be available to anyone who needs or wants one. If you take one, we do suggest that you wear it during the duration of the water activities.
Do I need to bring money?
If you want to purchase additional food or drinks/and or souvenirs bring cash and a debit/credit card.
What if it rains?
This experience is in the rainforest so rain or shine we leave on time…:)
RARELY the rain causes the water level to be too high to hike to and enjoy the waterslide. But on the RARE occasion we may leave the rainforest for a bit and check out a couple area beaches and then return to check the water level. If it’s still too high we will head to one more beach, grab some incredible authentic food and drinks and make the most of what’s out of our control…..the weather.(FYI I check the weather daily, but the predictions are just that)

Transportation is included from one of our meeting points in San Juan area

Rainforest Excursion FAQ's (PICKUP)
Where is the pick up point?
Our main pick up point in at 1309 Ashford Avenue in Condado, however we do have alternate meeting points available in Isla Verde and Luquillo.
What time should we arrive at the pick up location?
Check in for the excursion begins 30 minutes prior to your tour time, and closes 5 minutes before. Departure is at the scheduled tour time. Please allow yourself time to arrive early for an on time departure. Thank you
Do you offer alternate pick up/meeting points near rainforest ?
Yes ! We have a meeting point in Luquillo near the experience location.

What is the meeting point in Isla Verde ?
The meeting point in Isla Verde is at the Pueblo Supermarket, meeting arrangements must be made in advance by emailing: shareprinfo@gmail.com
What is the meeting point in Luquillo ?
The Luquillo meeting point is at Total energies playa azul.

Is there parking at meeting point?
There are paid parking lots as well as free street parking in the area.
There is a paid lot directly across the street from the Marriott (entrance beside the Italian restaurant).
Please arrive 30-45 minutes before departure time if you are parking a
vehicle. Paid lot across from Marriott is located here :

Can I drive my vehicle for the excursion?

Where do I go when I arrive at meeting location?
Please make your way to the bottom of the driveway where the dispatch coordinator will be waiting to check you in

Rainforest Excursion FAQ's (WHAT TO BRING/WEAR)
What type of shoes should I wear?
You can wear whatever shoes you feel comfortable walking outside on a natural pathway with rocks, roots, etc. You can bring two pairs of socks, if you would like to have a dry pair for use after.
Is there a place to change/lockers?
There is not a changing place or lockers provided at the rainorest location. Please arrive to the excursion ready to get wet ! There is a changing area at the beach location, after the rainforest. You are welcomed to leave bags or items locked inside the transport van during the rainforest portion.
Can I bring a small bag/backpack?
Yes, you’re welcomed to bring a small bag or backpack for the excursion, it can be left in the transport van during the rainforest activitites if youd like.
Are water shoes or hiking sandals a substitute for socks?
You can wear water shoes if you feel comfortable walking outside on a natural path with them, but you should ALSO bring socks. Water shoes do not replace socks.
Is water provided?
Yes, but you’re welcomed to bring your own as well.
Can we bring luggage?
No, our transport vans are designed for passengers only with extremely limited storage space. There are multiple short term storage services in the area, searchable via google
Can I bring my phone?
Yes! (Waterproof cases are available for purchase at check in).
Are lifevests provided?
Yes! Lifevests are provided, just ask your guide before leaving the transport van at the rainforest. If you require a lifevest please wear it for the duration of the rainforest activities.

Rainforest Excursion FAQ's (GENERAL TOUR INFO)
Is it necessary to know how to swim for the excursion?
No, there are many areas where you can stay in shallow water and we do provide lifevests for the experience!
How do I alter or change my reservation?
For Airbnb, Viator, Expedia, or GyG reservations – If it’s more than 24 hours before your excursion, please make changes or cancellations from inside your reservation on the app or website where you booked. If you aren’t able to do that, reach out directly to the customer support of that provider. For reservations made on Share Puerto Rico com, please send us at email at: shareprinfo@gmail.com
What should I do it I left something in the van?
Contact us at shareprinfo@gmail.com as soon as possible with your tour date and time and a description of the item (We will do our best to find/return items, but we are not responsible for items left behind after the tour time)
Will the tour be cancelled due to rain?
This excursion will continue rain or shine, given that conditions are not dangerous. If conditions become dangerous we will cancel or reschedule. Cancellations do receive a full refund. We will reach out to you directly at your listed phone number for any updates if needed
What should I do if I miss my tour?
If you miss your schedule tour time please reach out to us at shareprinfo@gmail.com.
Reservations are eligible for rescheduling up to one year from the original day and time depending upon our availability.
If you miss your scheduled tour time you are not entitled to refund.

Can I bring children under 4 years old?
We advise that children are able to walk/stand to aid in hiking/walking. Smaller children can be attached to parents via sling holders. Not all activities are suitable for small children, and their participation is at your own risk. Please bring desired flotation aids for small children.
Can I attend this activity pregnant?
Yes ! However all activities may not be suitable and we ask that you advise your doctor, as all pregnancies are different.
